HOW TO PROGRAM THE TAU WIRELESS SYSTEM FOR SAFETY EDGES IN 7 STEPS

Why do you need to connect the wireless system for safety edges to an automatic gate?

It is necessary to install the wireless system for safety edges to the automatic gate to make the system completely safe as it must follow the current safety regulations in force, such as: EN 954-1:1992 class 2.

What’s the TWM e TWC?

The TWM and TWC are the TAU wireless system for safety edges that can be installed on moving and non-moving leaves.
The TWM (base) is the device that manages the TWC sensors (up to 8 sensors) by transferring the signal to the control unit.
While the TWC is the sensor that sends the signal of the safety edge (connected to it) with the NC contact or the resistive contact to the TWM.

 

How are TWM and TWC connected to the automatic gate control unit?

The connection between TWM, two TWCs and the control unit is rather simple, as it can be summarized in 7 simple steps:

 

 

TWM connection

  1. Connect the TWM power supply, terminals 1 and 2 to the control unit.

(e.g.: input 11 and input 12 on K126MA control unit)

  1. Connect terminals 5 and 6 of the TWM to the desired input.

(e.g.: input 7 and input 10 on K126MA control unit)

  1. Finally, connect terminals 7 and 8 of the TWM to inputs 7 and 8 of the control unit

Connection of the 1st TWC

  1. To enter the programming mode, hold down the P1 button on the TWM base, the red PRG LED will light up steadily and the green LED of the first position will start to flash.
  2. Press programming button P1 on the TWC sensor. Once stored, the TWM green LED will remain on steady.

Connection of the 2nd TWC

  1. To enter the programming mode of the second TWC, press the P1 button on the TWM base, the red PRG LED will light up steadily and the second green LED will start to flash.
  2. Press button P1 on the second TWC sensor. Once memorization has been carried out, the two green LEDs of the TWM will remain on steady.

 

With which control units can this connection be made?

The TAU’S TWM and TWC can be connected to any TAU control unit, as the device can be powered both at 12 V DC and with 24 V AC power supply.
